the crap that i got myself into over the weekend has led way (i think) to a head cold.  the whole situation took such a toll on me that i'm assuming it compromised my immune system just enough to catch a bug.  kind of annoying, but not debilitating.  just stupid.  i can't believe i didn't keep closer track of my meds to know when they were running out.  it's more of a challenge when you use a pill holder instead of opening up the bottle every day and looking inside.

our offer on the house isn't looking too good.  they got another offer that i think they're gonna go with instead.  that's okay though.  there are more houses.  AND, yesterday afternoon we were finally able to turn in the rest of our paperwork and documents for the home loan application, and we FINALLY have a pre-approval letter in hand!  you have no idea how excited i am about this.  it really means a lot when you are looking at homes and making offers.  people take you a LOT more seriously.

alice and i went to the trans group a couple days ago and had a good time.  we all went out to dinner after the meeting.  they're such a fun group of people.  as always, i feel lucky to know them.  they're so good humored and passionate and we never fail to have fun.

in other news, i have recently updated my user info (finally)... go take a look!
fyi: all the names of pets and friends are links to pictures of them.  i don't know if people assume this or just think it's underlined text.

i'm getting so frustrated waiting for the info i need to be able to go to the bank and see how much of a mortgage we qualify for.
i got our credit reports today, so we've made a complete list of our debts and know where to go to pay them off, one by one, as soon as the check gets here.  will save receipts to take when seeing the home loan officer.
we have our eyes on a certain property that we've liked for quite a while.  we've gone through it, talked to the owners, and have been going back and forth with a couple real estate agents about it.  if it sells before i can get this shit going, i'm gonna be pissed.
i'm probably jinxing myself by putting it up here, but this is it.  it's a lot bigger than it looks from the street.
you really have to see the inside to appreciate the character.  it started out as one of those boring square houses that were pumped out one after another in this neighborhood in the 1950's, then it was added on to over and over again, so the layout is really quirky and the rooms are on 2 or 3 different levels.  i actually got lost the first time i went through it!
the sun room is really awesome too.  our cats would LOVE it.  i can just see all 4 of them lined up in a row, looking out at the street.
the backyard is mostly fenced in, and can be finished with a gate easily.
there is lots of storage:  a shed in the backyard, another addition built off the back of the garage, long dark michigan basement, and more room under the deck in the backyard.
and there is a built-in electrolysis salon.  sort of.  there's a side entrance, and a section that the old lady who lived there used for her hair-removal business.  that's right by the half bath.  i don't think it comes with any of the equipment though :(
the weirdness is that the only full bath is off the dining room, so you have to walk through the kitchen and the living room to get from the bedroom to the shower and back.  but that's just part of the charm ;)
there are so many cool, different rooms that can be so multi-purpose.  we only need 1 bedroom for ourselves, would like to have 1 more for guests, and will still have another room or two to have fun with, in addition to all the regular rooms.  so exciting!
oh, and ps?  it's right across the street from where we live now!
