Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.  (too much work)
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them




woo hoo!  i got 14.
as you can see, what i've read is mostly the more modern literature.  i hate reading old books.  you know, the ones where each sentence is 2 pages long and full of words that NO ONE uses anymore? 
and 14 is a lot considering i really don't like to read novels too well to begin with.  i'm surprised "walden" by thoreau isn't on here.  i read it, but only because i had to for senior english.  worst.book.ever.

i looked for the actual meme, but i couldn't find it.  though i remember the general rules.  i'm going to go back through my journal entries for 2007 and put the first sentence of each month here.  in some cases, i will put more than just the first sentence in order for things to make sense.  in all cases, i will skip memes.


january:  my evening started at about 7pm with the trans new year party downtown.

february: i dunno.  i really should see my therapist tomorrow.

march:  last night's dreams: 1. i was being held hostage in an unfinished house by two men who were trying to kill me.

basically i'm paranoid, crave physical security, adverse to change, dependent on others, avoidant, and independent all at once!
i guess it really is pretty accurate, if i compare the things that i am most valuing about my life right now and that are the most important to me. needing to feel safe & secure, etc.
although... i don't know how in the world i got such a high score on "extraversion"!
